Double O Arch, Arches National Park, Utah
Hey everybody! In case you haven’t heard, admission to all National Parks is free this weekend! That also includes National Monuments (like Tent Rocks), National Seashores (Assateague Island), and National Historic Places (Chaco Canyon).
Admission fees to individual parks often run $20 and up and an America the Beautiful year-long pass is $80. I’ve bought a pass every year since college and I always get my money’s worth. This weekend I’ll be checking off one of my never before seen places: Great Sand Dunes National Park in southern Colorado! Stay tuned for a post!
I hope you all get out and see more of the World this weekend! Enjoy!

Hubby and I will be headed there the second weekend in May, a first for us too. Enjoy.
I love that you got your feet into the photo, or someone’s feet. I’m going to see if I can get a photo from the same angle when I visit later this year. Enjoy the sand dunes. I visited last year and the snow-covered mountains in the background provided a great photo contrast to the red dunes.
Yep, those are mine. I have a whole series of these shoe shots. Adds a little personal touch, I think. 😉
I need to go there – beautiful!

My husband has always wanted to go west and see these places and your photo blog has him all worked up about it again! He is glad I am following your blog because he will be poring over your pictures and checking back regularly, I know.
That’s great! I love hearing my blog is tickling the travel itch. 🙂
Just a beautiful place. Wish I could be there. Alas, I missed the free parks weekend as I was hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Still fun though!
Awesome! I love and miss the AT. 🙂
