I’ve had a long standing policy against buying friends and family things for Christmas. Most people already have more than enough stuff. I’d rather make a point to share experiences during the year and then send them photographs for Christmas.
This year, I rode the World Championship Toboggan Track in Camden, Maine with my brother, walked from one end of New York City to the other with both my siblings, took a day hike along Maryland’s Gunpowder River with Anthony, backpacked up and over a Colorado 14’er with Sarah, went horseback riding in a Supervolcano with Dominique and Piet, bouldered in Joshua Tree with Amy, ice climbed up Angels Landing in Zion with Drew and road tripped to the Grand Canyon with Becky.
Now for Christmas, I’ll send everybody a few high quality, highly framable photos from our grand adventures, along with some suggestions for next year’s rendezvous. Of course, I don’t get to cross paths with everybody in my circle each year and in those cases, I’ll send them lovely photos from some place we might visit together in the future.
This year, in light of the Blonde Coyote’s great success (this is my 100th post!) and growing popularity (several hundred hits a day and counting) I’m going to start offering prints for sale online. If you see a photo you’d love to have or give to a friend, send me an email at theblondecoyote@gmail.com with the caption/ title and the post in which it appears and I’ll send you an invoice via Paypal.
Any of my photos on the Blonde Coyote, my website www.marycapertonmorton.com or my Flickr account are fair game. If you’re looking for photos of a specific place, just ask! I might have it! High quality 8 by 10 prints are $25 each, plus $5 shipping and handling. If you’re interested in large format or panoramic printing, email me for prices. I’m not offering framing at this time, but am happy to make suggestions.
Happy Holidays!
I loved your idea of only giving personalized pictures for Christmas…and so agree that people have enough (way too much) stuff already…but my wife and kids didn’t enjoy the thought. I think your sister would/will really like the picture of her jumping up toward the clouds in the picture of her…beautiful!
