Me & My Shadows

Me & Cerrillos Ruins

You may have noticed, I take a lot of pictures. I’m addicted to this 3-pound weight always hanging around my neck. If I’m outside, it’s with me and I’m always using it, come rain, shine or snow, and in all types of light.

At certain times of day, especially in the hour before sunset, keeping your shadow out of the frame becomes impossible. To hell with it; I wave and keep shooting. Here are a few of my favorite shadow-self portraits:

Me, Bowie & the Clifftop Juniper

Me & White Sands, NM

Me, Amy & Joshua Tree, CA

Me, Bowie & the Backyard Arroyo

Me, Runner & D.O.G., Sunday Ride

Me, Becky & Black Canyon of the Gunnison, CO

My Brother, His Shadow & D.O.G., Garden of the Gods, NM

Me, Bowie & The VLA

Me, Drew & Snowy Bryce Canyon

Utah’s Waterpocket Fold

Goblin Valley, Utah

Wyoming Plains

Vedauwoo Rocks, Wyoming

Delicate Arch, Utah

The Road To Outlaw Cave, Wyoming
