Hey everybody, sorry for the radio silence lately. It’s one of those weeks with half a dozen deadlines. In between writing about the geologic origins of gold, the glacial history of Norway and the future of the Chesapeake Bay, I cranked out a new top ten list for the Guardian: the Top Ten Parks in Utah. Click over to the Guardian to check out my favorite places in one of my favorite states!
Also check out my previous top ten lists for California, Nevada and Arizona. It’s a tough gig, but somebody’s gotta do it. 😉

Hey! That’s my state! 🙂 I’m floored you climbed Angels Landing in the snow…although, I suppose without hundreds of people everywhere all the time it would be a little easier to maneuver that last slog up to the top. But, yikers!

You are still my hero! If I had my life to live over again I would do it your way.
Glad to see you included Capitol Reef and Kodachome State Park. They are extraordinary!
Great photos and post!!! Your blog just make me want to hike right now on those amazing places!!
Hi Mary, Great article in the Guardian. I’ve been to several of the parks in Utah; now I’d like to go back to revisit them and see the rest. Carol
